Meet Some of the Residents of DHAPS

P.T. Barnum
P.T. Barnum is a retired race horse who has had a prestigious career.
When Barnum retired at 8 years old, he was sent off to be retrained and to start a new life as a riding horse but unfortunately an injury to his shoulder has prevented him from a carrying on so he joins us for early retirement on Dartmoor with his new friend Ranger.

Barnum has settled in so well and he is safe in the knowledge that he has a home for life without any pain of discomfort from riding

Sorel
Companion Pony
Sorel (Little Pone) came from a local elderly couple who had just lost their cart horse and Sorel was left on her own in a field with no companion. She was struggling with loneliness and depression and she deserved a place here with us. Sorel is now Holly's companion and although they may have the odd falling out over a man they are good friends and she has fitted in well.
